This Sunday
So I have been pretty busy the past few days. I was in the LDSSA Dodgeball Tournament Friday and Saturday. We won!! It was so awesome! I kinda thought there'd be a fight between our ward (the 14th) and the team that we played for the final round (the 29th). The guys on the 29th, one guy in particular, were really fiesty, and the guys on my team were giving it right back. I have to admit that I laughed a little at how silly they were being. I met some really nice guys from the team too. I hung out with them last night. I am also especially glad that we beat the 29th because a guy in my institute class (Trevor) is from the 29th and was talking trash all week long. I think Trevor is immensly attractive and am so excited to let him know that my team beat his. Maybe it'll be the conversation that will spark a relationship ;) a girl can dream can't she? On Thursday night, I got covered in whipped cream at a carnival. A stray pie went all down my back. Again, I laughed. It was so funny! Today at church I had a great time. I prayed to feel the Spirit today, and to have a good time at church, and that prayer was answered. I am so thankful for that. Although church today was also very hard. Sundays are always the hardest for me. I wasn't really thinking about it, but I kinda leaned over to put my head on Mom's shoulder, but before I moved I remembered that she wasn't there. It hurt me. I just sat there for a few minutes imagining hugging Mom and Austin. I missed them so much at that one moment. I called Mom after church and just started crying. I couldn't help it. I just wanted to hug my family, but they weren't there to hold me close and take my hurt away. I am still teary eyed about it. I miss them so much! I decided that even if I only get to be there for a minute, I am coming home next weekend. I am going to have Sunday dinner with Justin and his roommates today, it'll be really fun. I love you all!!

So Far

Well, I am into my third week of school (fourth week in Cedar) and so far I love school. The classes are great (small and relatively easy) and the campus is beautiful. I go to classes during the day, and at night I do whatever I feel like (until whenever I feel like lol). However, I was so happy to go home last weekend. I miss my family and friends from the valley so much! They are pretty much the most amazing people in the world, and I can't find anyone near as cool as them to hang out with in Cedar. My weekend was so full though, I feel like I hardly got to spend any time actually at home with Mom. That kinda sucked, but I did do a lot of really cool things. I went to the World Cup Qualifier with Am, Caroline, and David (my second family) on Saturday. Sunday, I went to Larry's house to see him ordained an Elder (woot!) and his baby brother, Ryker, have his baby blessing. It was so amazing! Afterward, we all went and had dinner at the McConnell's (at which time I took full advantage to hang out with Preston). Then to Adam's to watch him open his mission call (Little Rock, Arkansas). That was ok. I mean I am way proud of his descision and glad that he asked me to be a part of that experience, but I was so uncomfortable. There were a lot of people in that room that I am not overly fond of :) excluding a few very wonderful people (ie My Tweedle and Joe). Monday, I washed my car inside and out. Dad and Austin came home about 11 from hunting, and then we all went to lunch at Tsing Tao!! I love that place! Preston came with us and I was a little worried about him. He hates Chinese and he was already feeling kind of sick, so I wasn't sure that he would enjoy the event. But he seemed to have fun all the same (and he actually ate the food!). It was a great trip. I was sad to leave. But oh well. I had to go back to school, not to mention Justin was dying to get home to Cedar. Anyway, I'm putting a few pictures on here. The ones up in the mountains are Justin, Kirstin, and I at Kanary Falls (WAY GORGEOUS!!!!!!) and the others are from the Qualifier.
